Armando Galarraga pushed his record to 4-7 as he picked up the win for the Tigers on Thursday. Galarraga went six innings and allowed four runs on six hits while walking one and striking out five as the Tigers beat the Cubs 6-5.

Our View: After a shaky first innings in which he let up three runs, Galarraga settled down and actually tossed a pretty good game. His fantasy value still remains fairly low, but he pitches for a good team and he has shown flashes of being a solid starting pitcher. AL-only owners may give him a look if you are in need of pitching.

Armando Galarraga has been struggling over his last several starts, and skipper Jim Leyland will have a talk with him, according to the Detroit News. Leyland said, "It looks to me like he is hanging sliders more and behind (in the count) too much. He is not throwing enough first-strike fastballs. Then he gets behind and he is hanging his slider."

Our View: Galarraga has taken a loss in seven of his last nine starts, but is sounds like Leyland will give him a chance to get on track and turn his season around. He will be an unstable fantasy option for his next trip to the hill.
