News: According to MLB.com, Cubs 3B Aramis Ramirez had an MRI on Thursday that showed inflammation in his strained left calf, but GM Jim Hendry said that Ramirez would be back in the next few says and did not need the full 15 days off. Manager Lou Piniella and trainer Mark O'Neal watched Ramirez run prior to Thursday's game against the Marlins. "He went through a fairly extensive array of stretching and running exercises, and he's much better than he was in Phoenix two days ago," Piniella said.
