John Barone, of MLB.com, reports Toronto Blue Jays OF Adam Lind (elbow) will take a few days off after being hit on the elbow by a pitch Tuesday, Sept. 29. Manager Cito Gaston is hoping Lind will be able to play Friday, Oct. 2.

Robert MacLeod, of the Globe and Mail, reports X-rays on Toronto Blue Jays OF Adam Lind’s (elbow) right elbow came back negative after he was struck by a pitch from Boston Red Sox RP Jonathan Papelbon Tuesday, Sept. 29. However, there is no telling how much time, if any, Lind will miss. Lind said following the game that his elbow was in significant pain. "Pretty sore," Lind said. "Can’t really move my arm too much from my elbow down. Just a lot of throbbing, aching."

Adam Lind had quite the game against Seattle on Saturday, evening the game at 4-4 in the eighth with a two-run shot, then winning the game with a walkoff home run in the 10th. Lind finished 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs and a walk.

Our View: The home runs were Lind's 31st and 32nd of the season, and he also got his average back above .300 with the performance. Lind also bumped his RBI total to 109 and has been one of the better overall power hitters in the entire MLB all year long.
