An important outing for Cook, who hadn't made it through six

Source (mlb.com) (P - col) | 0 comments.

While his 6.75 ERA in August entering Friday is underwhelming to say the least, he should be thrown with confidence when he takes the hill next week vs. the Giants -- a team he's compiled a 3.00 ERA against in three starts this year.

Source (fanball.com) (P - col) | 0 comments.

Aaron Cook gave up two earned runs on five hits over six innings in Friday's 9-4 win over the Padres, with two walks and three strikeouts. His strikeouts are low (87 over 188 innings) and his ERA (3.88) could be better as a fantasy starter, but he should remain a solid source for wins (16) heading down the stretch in September.
